Experience​

With over 20 years experience in graphic and web design, teaching, and branding, I have spent my life developing and fostering a love of ideation, technology, and problem solving. I have high expectations of the people I work with, as well as for myself. I like to work and play hard, while embracing challenges, continually learning, and growing.

Adventurous​

Through travel and education, I have had the opportunity to work with many people, students, and cultures, allowing me to create empathy for others. It's through this lens of empathy, inquiry, and reflection, that I approach research and design, striving to identify and leverage opportunities from which I can develop more diverse, inclusive, and meaningful interactions for students, fans and users. ​

Creative​

I have a passion for aesthetics, visual hierarchy, user experience design, teaching and a drive to constantly try and make things better. I’m passionate about human-centered design and deBono’s six thinking hats, which I have used in the studio and the classroom, to craft innovative solutions and experiences.
My favorite phrase is “What if?”.

Surface Design

A long time passion, but recently reignited, the development of  icons, motifs, badges, borders and patterns, into cohesive collections, inspired by the world around me, prepared and ready to be applied to a multitude of surfaces for various purposes.

Branding & Art Direction

Research, develop and create visual communication elements through the use of typography, color, layout and imagery, to produce a cohesive vision with a consistent message while appealing to the target audience.

UX Design, Adobe XD & Figma

Creating evidence-based, interaction designs between human users and products or websites based on research and data analysis.

Photography / Adobe Photoshop

10+ years experience creating imagery with great exposure, clarity and composition. Utilizing Photoshop to fix and edit imagery as well as creating non-destructive, layer based, editable blended imagery.

Adobe Illustrator

My go to program of choice for all things vector for well over 15 years (layout, icons, logos, etc.). The perfect tool for creating and developing imagery that is infinitely scalable and easily reproducible with Pantone color accuracy.

Teaching & Teacher Training

11 years of teaching experience, working with students and teachers. Developing and fostering a love of visual storytelling and typography, along with the development of 21st century technical skill.
